Helping Small Businesses Confront the Impacts of Covid-19

The Mayor and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development are digitizing Los Angeles small businesses with LA Optimized!

With the onset of the pandemic, many small businesses have been disproportionately impacted as consumers became increasingly comfortable purchasing online.  When once it was an option, small businesses now require digital solutions to market and grow their business. Brick and mortar businesses must supplement the in-store experience by leveraging technology tools, new approaches to fulfilling customer needs, and technologies for customers to engage with their brand from the comforts of their home. LA Optimized will help small businesses adapt to this rapidly changing shift in consumer behavior and technological advances by assisting Small Businesses optimize their businesses for online sales and marketing by:

  • Creating or optimizing online business listings
  • Performing e-commerce audits
  • Creating or optimizing business websites
  • Connecting small businesses to creative and design services

To apply, please provide your name, email address, business name, and business tax registration certificate number below. Non-profits are not eligible. Qualified businesses will be selected starting January 2021.

    If selected, businesses must be able to provide tax documentation for fiscal year 2018 or 2019 as verification that their gross revenue was less than $5,000,000.
